An away game, the sort I used to travel for.
With the Mariners, there’s a history.
When we first went top of the table in our first season, it was after a win against the Mariners and I still remember the chant of we are number one.
We lost to them in the final of that same season.
I am not sure when I stopped travelling for the Central Coast and Newcastle games.
It was somewhere in the blur of the pandemic, anywhere between 2020 and 2023.
