Navigating Breakup Etiquette (In the Context of a Café)

Parramatta: A Dictionary of Place and Memory - N

Once upon a time there was a couple who used to frequent a café together until their unfortunate breakup.

There was a territorial dispute about who would have the right to continue going to that same café which, incidentally, is where they first met.

Of course they were adults and could have continued their café visits uninterrupted except for that inevitable awkwardness.

O what to do about the café they used to share?

The etiquette says that the person who most has the right to continue their visits is the one who frequented the place first.
