‘Nura and Yura Are One’

One fact about Parramatta Square is that history is embedded into the square itself.

 A fire hearth was used here more than 2000 years ago.

 The old Parramatta Library is noted with a plaque. It was open from 1966 to 2016.

 I feel uncertain before the linear progression of time.

 Chronology and dating are one way to look at the past with time marked according to the Earth’s travels around the Sun.

 There are other modes and each one is an entire way of life.

 When family members begin a story, it occurs in a past of once upon a time.

 Then there’s the school of thought that stresses exact time markers.

 Some days I believe this imposition of certainty is to favour a Western mode of engaging with time.
