One of the most important factors in school design is where do students go on the hot days or when it rains.
Most of the schools I have taught at have inadequate facilities for students who are forced to shelter in corridors.
When students return after breaks, they are more restless and their ability to settle is directly linked to whether they were in the corridors or if they spent their break outdoors.
