Parramatta: A Dictionary of Place and Memory - T
There are three writers I would desperately love to write about as I did in the Vanishing Bolaño essay that has appeared on SRB.
They are Clarice Lispector, Joan Didion, and then Jean Rhys.
Each time I go to write about them, they become mountains that are absolutely dwarfing, and there are abandoned essays about each, abandoned because these writers are so big.
