Parramatta: A Dictionary of Place and Memory - W

I know there was a time when Westfield was two storeys and where the square is, there used to be Hungry Jacks, Deli France, and also an arcade.

It is hard to keep track of what was here before. The memories get overlaid and then displaced by what is present in my every day.

The PCYC building is now boarded up. I did gymnastics there the winter I was fourteen.

It sits empty, waiting for the unveiling of what’s to be put in its place.
