With Warda on the M4

Parramatta: A Dictionary of Place and Memory - W

Heading west on the M4 late in the afternoon, I’m listening to Warda’s Batwanes Beek, a song that takes me back to Lebanon, circa the 90s.

On this drive, I also am tracing Luke Carman’s essay A Glovebox of One’s Own, which captures the sense of driving in traffic on the M4.

There are so many memories associated with the M4 that are tangents from this packed peak-hour road.
