We’re Hiring: Deputy Editor
The Sydney Review of Books is seeking a dedicated Deputy Editor to join the team and work closely with the Editor to coordinate the journal’s publishing, fellowship, and public programs, with a special emphasis on digital production, audience development, and community engagement. As an employee of Western Sydney University, you will contribute intellectually to the activities of the Writing and Society Research Centre and the School of Humanities and Communication Arts, particularly through research seminars, postgraduate activities, and international collaborations. You will also mentor young and emerging writers from the Western Sydney region, supporting the University’s policy of regional engagement.
This is a part-time 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE) fixed-term position at Academic Level A until 31 December 2028. You will be based at WSU’s Parramatta City Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.
