Dženana Vucic
Dženana Vucic is a Bosnian-Australian writer currently based in Berlin. Her essays and poetry have been published in Overland, Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings, Australian Poetry Journal, Cordite and others. She has been awarded a 2022 Marten Bequest and the 2022 Peter Blazey Fellowship to work on an autotheoretical novel.

Now and Then
Stanišić’s books play with time as much as they play with fantasy, which are more entangled than one might suspect, but perhaps understandably so for someone like Stanišić, or someone like me, that is to say: children born into Yugoslavia and made refugees by the genocidal war that followed its fracturing.
