Jessica White

Jessica White is an author and academic living on Kaurna country. She has published two novels, A Curious Intimacy and Entitlement, a hybrid memoir about deafness, Hearing Maud, which won the Michael Crouch Award for a debut work of biography and was shortlisted for four major literary awards, and a collection of ecobiographical essays, Silence is my Habitat. Jessica's short stories and essays have appeared widely in Australian and international literary journals, and she has undertaken residencies at the B.R Whiting Studio in Rome and the Rachel Carson Center in Munich. She is an Associate Professor in Creative Writing and Literary Studies at Adelaide University.
