Micaela Sahhar

Micaela Sahhar is an Australian-Palestinian writer and educator. Her essays and poetry have appeared in Cordite, Overland, Southerly and Griffith Review among others. Her most recent scholarly publication, ‘Occupied Narrative and the 2021 Unity Intifada’ is available in Monish Bhatia, Scott Poynting, and Waqas Tufail (eds.) Racism, Violence and Harm: Ideology, Media and Resistance (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023). She received a special commendation for the Peter Blazey Fellowship (2024), is a Wheeler Centre Next Chapter Fellow (2021), and travelled to Palestine in mid-2023 on a Neilma Sidney Literary Travel Fund Grant to work on a non-fiction manuscript.
