Pat Grant

Pat Grant is a comics maker, writer and designer. He is the writer and illustrator of two graphic novels, Blue (2012) and The Grot (2020). Blue has won multiple awards and was listed as one of ten great graphic novels of 2012 by Laura Miller at Salon. The French edition of The Grot was shortlisted for the Angouleme Grand Prix in 2020. Pat is a lecturer in the School of Communication at UTS in Sydney. He is co-founder of Comic Art Workshop, a project development retreat for graphic storytellers and he is part of a research team compiling stories of Australian Comics. He prefers to draw comics the old-fashioned way, with inks and watercolour paper, in his back-shed.
