Prudence Gibson

Dr Prudence Gibson is an academic at the School of Art and Design, University of NSW Sydney. Her latest book, The Plant Contract (Brill, 2018) sits in the field of Critical Plant Studies which focuses on how art and narrative mediate changes in plant knowledge and collection research. Currently she holds an ARC Linkage grant, partnering with the Royal Botanic Gardens Herbarium to revalue the 1.4 million collection at a time of climate change, extinction and lost biodiversity. She collaborates with artists, writers, botanists, ecologists and horticulturists.
