Rebecca Harkins-Cross

Rebecca Harkins-Cross is a writer and cultural critic. Based in Melbourne, her work has been published widely in journals and periodicals across Australia and the world. She is currently completing a PhD in Creative Writing at Monash University and finalising her debut essay collection Terror Australis: Essays on Film and Home. Rebecca will be a Fulbright Scholar at Columbia School of the Arts’ Writing Program in New York City in 2021.

These letters may refuse the methodological stringency of academic literary criticism, but beyond some epistolary scaffolding (an addressee, a conversational tone, questions answered or posed) they are largely close textual analyses performed by astute readers with comp lit bona fides and early-career positions at Yale, Princeton and Oxford.
