Stephen Whittington is a composer, performer, writer and music critic. He is Head of Sonic Arts at the Elder Conservatorium of Music where he teaches composition and music theory and supervises Masters and PhD students.
As a pianist he has an international reputation as an interpreter of the music of contemporary composers. He has given piano recitals in Australia, China, France, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. His interest in the relationship between music and other art forms has led to the creation of critically acclaimed multimedia performances and compositions incorporating music, art, poetry and film.
