Elizabeth Taylor
Dr Elizabeth Taylor is a Senior Lecturer in Urban Planning & Design, in the Faculty of Art Design and Architecture at Monash University. She was previously a Vice Chancellor’s Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Centre for Urban Research at RMIT University; and a McKenzie Fellow at the University of Melbourne. Her research and publications explore urban planning, housing markets, transport, and locational conflicts often with a spatial and historical focus. In 2018 she published ‘Dry Zones: Planning and the Hangovers of Liquor Licensing History’. She is also co-host of the podcast This Must be the Place, and a musician in folk band ‘Taylor Project’. She owns and lives in an apartment with non-compliant combustible cladding.
