Quah Ee Ling

Quah Ee Ling is a fire dragon feminist, Singaporean queer migrant woman academic of Chinese-Hokkien and Indonesian-Peranakan heritage. She has developed her own strand of feminism - fire dragon feminism - and is passionate about decolonising the curriculum and anti-racism activism. Ee Ling is the author of two scholarly books on divorce and transnational divorce (2015; 2020) and her research on gender, sexuality, queer studies, migration and race has also appeared in leading international scholarly journals. She is working on an ARC Linkage Grant project on employment and entrepreneurship of young migrant women in Southwest Sydney as one of its chief investigators.
