Selina Tusitala Marsh

Professor Selina Tusitala Marsh, 2025-27 Inaugural Commonwealth Poet Laureate, is an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for Services to Community and Poetry and a Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand. For thirty years, she has championed Pacific women poets through her teaching, research, and community work, currently completing her book FETŪ: Star Charting Pacific Women Poets. Based in Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand, with bloodlines connecting to Samoa and Tuvalu, Selina is committed to using poetry to enrich people, places, and spaces.
