A proposed literary panel.
Participants are invited to speak about migration but they are told they should not speak about war because it is deemed controversial.
I wonder if it is every war that’s controversial or if there’s a particular violence that is being made pre-emptively unwelcome.
In the context of migration to this country, if war is a no-go zone, I suppose that leaves the participants with comforting cuisine stories or else entertaining tales about their extended families.
