1 --> 8 --> ∞
Parramatta: A Dictionary of Place and Memory - O
8 letterboxes or else 7 letterboxes and the last a mailing slot for management.
Imagine the letterboxes were infinite, each person in the world with a permanent mailing box, and the letterboxes count upwards, the next set of 8 around the corner, another 8 at the next corner, till there are 8 billion and these letterboxes are our entire communication home.
These 8 sit on a low wall. They are old, the numbers painted on.
