Tradies on the Commercial Roof

Parramatta: A Dictionary of Place and Memory - T

Typing the dictionary on level 5 of the university’s Hassall Street building, I look out across the rooftops.

The tradies are walking on the metal roof of The Commercial Hotel as one area is being renovated.

It is expansive to be at this height, considering the stretch of buildings, especially the rooftops, which is not a perspective one regularly has.
