WestWords in the Witch House
Parramatta: A Dictionary of Place and Memory - W
It is incredible the number of activities WestWords runs in the Western Sydney community.
They run workshops, academies, events; they publish, mentor; they have prizes and partnerships all designed to nurture the next generation of writers.
I appreciate the generosity of WestWords which has hosted three of my launches. It is an organisation that is supportive and always welcoming, and it makes me happy that they are residents of what I call the witch house on a corner of Hunter Street.
A specific shout out to the organisational prowess of Michael Campbell and Ally Burnham. I hear that Campbell is part of efforts to have Parramatta become a City of Literature.
