It has been at least ten years since I read Jane Austen and I decide to return to Pride and Prejudice.

This book has strong associations and as my dear friend Kylie Mirmohamadi says it’s a book that you start and you’re immediately drawn in.

It is springtime and there is optimism in this book in a year that has been low on optimism.

What always surprises me about Jane Austen is the amount of social commentary as she gently pokes her fun.
